30(12) = 360 inches
360/18 = 20 plants

He can put 30 small plants, costing $.15 each, 12 inches a part Or, he can put large plants costing $.40 each, 18 inches apart. How much more will it cost to buy the large plants? How do I begin to figure out - show me how to go about. Please!
