Volume of a sphere = (4/3)(pi)r³   Volume of a right cylinder = (pi)r²h  Since they have the same volume set them equal to each other, substitute 3 for h and solve for r

 

(4/3)(pi)r³ = 3(pi)r²

 

(4/3)r = 3

 

r = 9/4
