Alright, Sam, draw two parallel lines and then draw a third line that crosses both.
Alternate interior angles are on the inside of the two parallel lines but on either side of the third line. They are congruent.
On opposite sides of the third line but outside the two parallel lines are opposite exterior angles. They are congruent to each other and complimentary to the alternate interior angles.
Same side interior angles are inside the two parallel lines but on the same side of the third line. They are complementary to each other.
Same side exterior are outside the two parallel lines but on the same side of the third line. They are compementary to each other.
Adjacent angles touch each other. They are complementary to each other. Vertical angles are two apart from each other. They are congruent to each other. Start at one angle and go around either direction. The next angle is adjacent and then vertical, adjacent on the other side, and back to the starting angle.
Again, draw it out and it'll make more sense. You'll also see what makes angles congruent or complementary.
