Great Ore mining company claims that it costs $100 to mine 1g of gold ore, and $30 to mine 1g of silver ore. They also stated that mining gold and silver ore on a particular day costed the company $1600. The total amount of ore mined that day was 15g. How much gold ore was mined and how much silver ore was mined

g + s = 15

100g + 30s = 1600

 

g = 15 - s

 

100(15 - s) + 30s = 1600

 

 

Solve for s, then plug your answer into the first equation and solve for g.
