r=(1/2)*(6.4)

r=3.2 cm

h=4*6.4

h=25.6

V=(3.14159)(3.2²)(25.6)

V=(3.14159)((10.24)(25.6)

V=(3.14159)(262.144)

V=823.55 cubic centimeters

One tennis ball has volume V = 4/3*pi*R^3= 4/3*22/7*3.2^3

                                             = 137.31352381.....

 

Notice The RADIUS is 3.2, because the diameter is D=6.4

 

4 of the tennis balls have  combined volume of 549.2541....

So the can has a volume MUST is bigger than that.

 

The height of the cylinder shaped can has to be at least

6x4 = 24. The diameter of the base of the can must also be

6, so the radius of the can must be at least 3.

 

The volume of the cylinder is V = pi*R^2*H
