Question:
 
It takes an older employee 15 hours to shovel the snow from a sidewalk, but a younger employee can shovel the same sidewalk in 4 hours. How long will it take them to clear the walk if they work together?

3 hours is correct, but they also want to know how many minutes. It will take them 3 hours and ?? minutes to clear the walk if they work together?

The .2 would equal 12 minutes so 3 hours and 12 minutes is answer.

what do they want you to round it to?  If we go with the exact number of minutes it would be 3 hours and 9.47 minutes.
 
Here's the math:  60/19 = 3.157894737,  then take the decimal amount and multiply it by 60 and you get 9.473684211 minutes.  Will they want it to be 9.5 minutes or 9 minutes?  Let me know please.
