x/15 + x/4 = 1
Multiply all the terms by the LCD. The LCD is 60. Therefore the equation becomes 4x + 15x = 60. NOw solve for x.
19x = 60 then x = 60/19 or 3.2 hours

The .2 would equal 12 minutes so 3 hours and 12 minutes is answer.

what do they want you to round it to? If we go with the exact number of minutes it would be 3 hours and 9.47 minutes.
Here's the math: 60/19 = 3.157894737, then take the decimal amount and multiply it by 60 and you get 9.473684211 minutes. Will they want it to be 9.5 minutes or 9 minutes? Let me know please.
