the function v(t) = 280-10t represents the value of an object t years after it is purchased. what will the value of the object be after 3.5 years

this is a question, that i need it to be answered not only for the answer, but to know how it's solve cause i really don't like math but i'm doing my best, and this looks like a great website for me to use in order to help me a little bit.

You already have an equation for v as a function of t.

 

v(t) = 280 - 10t,

 

where t is the number of years.  So just evaluate v(t) at t = 3.5 and get

 

v(3.5) = 280 - 10(3.5) = ?
