The given equation, 2x=10-5y, is  y=-(2/5)x+2.

 

Two points that are often convenient are:

   y-intercept (the point where x=0):       (0,2)

   x-intercept (the point where y=0):       (5,0)

 

Next, select values of x that are multiples of 5 (so the denominator of the coefficient 2/5 will cancel):

   (10,-2)
