We are given that the perimeter of the rectangle is 66 cm. To find the perimeter of a rectangle, we add all the sides together. We don't exactly how long the sides of the rectangle are, but we can find out from the clues given. So we will just let the width be equal to the variable "W". If the width is W, then the length, which we will set as variable "L", is 8 cm more than 4 times the width, or as an equation L = 4W + 8.
Using your knowledge of how to find a perimeter (by adding all the sides together), you can now solve for W, and then after you find W, then you can find L.
Hint: It will also be helpful to draw a picture of the rectangle and label the sides just so you can see what is happening.
Hope this was helpful!
