What is the answer

cameron is shop for new shirts. The shirts he selected are all the same price. He also finds a hat that costa $12 and a pair of pants that costs $33.50 Cameron can buy the hat and 4 shirts for the same total cost as the pants and 2 shirts. whatis the price of each shirt.

Michael P.

H = hat cost = $12
P = pants cost = $33.50
S = shirt cost each  = ?

H + 4*S = P + 2*S
2*S = P - H  = $33.50 - $12 = $21.50
S =$21.50/2 = $10.75 per each shirt
