Is the the right inequality for the equation below 1+ 1.25x 20 where x= is the amount of hours

Parking in a student parking lot is  $ 1 dollar for the first half hour and $1.25 for each hour thereafter. Partial hours are charged as full hours. What is the longest time a student can park in the lot for $20 dollars.

$20 ≥ $1 + $1.25x

 

This is correct as long as you remember to start counting the hours from the end of the first half-hour, to avoid paying twice for the first half-hour.  Solve for x, but remember the TOTAL time in the parking lot is actually x+1/2 hours, not just x.
