Tickets for a dance cost $1.00 if prepaid. Tickets at the door cost $1.50. If a hundred tickets sold and $120.00 collected. How many tickets were prepaid and how many were sold at the door?

Let x the number of prepaid tickets and y number of tickets at the door

Number of all ticket sold 100=x+y and  1*x+1.50*y=120. So, you have to solve this system of equations (which I think you have to manage).

 

x+y=100

x+1.5y=120
