Slope is described as rise over run, or in mathematical notation,
m = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1) where m represents slope and x and y represent the x-y coordinates of a point.
So, we are given two points with x and y coordinates. All we need to do is plug them in the equation above.
m = (5-(-1)/(3-(-2))
= 6 / 5 or 1.2
