Given g(x)=3x^2−2x+19​, find g(t-1)

Given g(x)=3x^2−2x+19, find  g(t-1).

I am pretty sure the g (t-1) would go in the x's spot, but i am having trouble getting the amswer.

 g(x)=3x²−2x+19, find  g(t-1)

 

Replace x with (t-1) in the expression and expand

 

g(t-1) = 3(t-1)² - 2(t-1) + 19

 

= 3(t² - 2t + 1) - 2t + 2 + 19

 

= 3t² - 6t + 3 - 2t + 21

 

= 3t² - 8t + 24
