If you have zeros of 0 and -8, then your factors are x and x+8 because when you factor your quadratic you need to end up with x = 0 and x+8 = 0 to get your zeros.
So you have x2+8x or in factored form: x(x+8).

Hmm, well the polynomial x2+8x definitely gives you -8 and 0 for zeros. Maybe because the question asks for the family of quadratic functions, it is something like this: y = a(x)(x+8) where a is any coefficient. This just means that you could multiply the polynomial x2+8x by any coefficient and still get the zeros of 0 and -8.
