I don't know what level of answer you need, so I will respond in two parts.
Before you continue, it is important to simplify the information by turning gallons into ounces.
1 Gallon=128 fluid ounces
Answer 1)
g=gallons
Solve according to order of operations starting here with multiplication:
96(6)=128g
576=128g
Isolate the variable by dividing both sides by 128:
576/128=128g/128
Answer:
4.5=g or, Four and a half gallons.
If you don't understand where I got those numbers, see Answer 2
Answer 2)
You have 96 people who each want 6 ounces or: 96 * 6.
So the total number of ounces you need is 96*6=576.
If each gallon holds 128 ounces and you need 576 ounces, you can divide the amount needed by the amount available: 578 / 128 = 4.5
You would need 4.5 Gallons to give 96 people 6 Ounces ounces of juice.
