If length is a inches and width is b inches, then
 
a - b = 5 (1)
2a + 2b = 34 (2)
 
Eq. (1) is because that length is 5 inches more than the width
Eq. (2) is because the perimeter is 34 inches.
 
Can you solve the equations?
 
The length is 11 and width is 6 inches.
