A sports ball has a diameter of 10 cm. Find the volume of the ball.
Round your answer to 2 decimal places, and use 3.14 as an approximation of π

If the better value of pi is employed (using SHIFT pi) on a typical calculator, the volume calculation yields volume 523.60, rounded to 2 decimal places.

 

There really is no excuse for Teachers to ask for 3.14 to be used as pi, in today's world. A more precise calculation is consistent with the precision of today's laser-aided manufacturing processes.

r = d/2 = (10 cm)/2 = 5 cm

 

V = (4/3)π(5)³ cm³ ≅ 523.33 cm³
