Hi Lynn - does this equation = 0?
If so, then we would have x2 + x - 12 = 0
This factors into (x + 4)(x - 3) = 0
So either (x + 4) = 0 or (x - 3) = 0
If (x + 4) = 0, the x = -4
If (x - 3) = 0, then x = 3
So the solutions are -4 and 3
