In our case, this is true, so this is a function. For every value of "x," there is exactly 1 value of "y." When x = -5, y only = -2. When x = -2, y only = 7. When x = -3, y only = 2...

 

** This would NOT be a function IF we had another point like (-5, 4) because then when x = -5, y = -2 AND y = 4 **
