I have edited your question: Find the smallest natural number (singular) that leaves a reminder of 3 when divided by 7 and also leaves a reminder of 4 when divided by 5
n/7 = q + 3/7 (Eq 1)
n/5 = p + 4/5 (Eq 2)
n = 7q + 3 & n = 5p + 4. For various small values of q and p, these formulas give the numbers listed below.
10, 17, 24, 31... and 9, 14, 19, 24, ...
Note that 24 is in both lists, so 24 is the answer.
