In the chocolate boxes that Dennis and Mao buy, there is a discount coupon. If you collect 10 coupons, you get a free chocolate bag for free. Dennis says that each such box with a coupon really worth 1.10 boxes, but Mao says each box is worth 1.11 such boxes.
A) How can Dennis have reasoned?
B) Who is right? Motivate your answer.

Well unless the bag and the box are the same price, neither of them are entirely correct.

 

But here is the reasoning:

 

1 coupon x 10 = 1 free bag

 

1 coupon = 1 free bag / 10  = 1/10 free bag

 

I box of chocolates + 1 coupon = 1 box of chocolates + 1/10 free bag
