Conservation of Energy

A 45 kg student runs with a speed of 2.0 m/s off a horizontal ledge that is 5.0 above a swimming pool. Calculate the vertical speed of the student when she hits the water.
Energy before = Energy after
mgh + (m*v^2)/2 = mgh + (m*v^2)/2
(45*9.8*5) + (45*2^2)/2 = 0 + (45*v^2)/2
4590 = 45v^2
v= 10.1 m/s
Ans: 9.9 m/s ??
