Do the parentheses first, (2+1)=3, which gives:
6/2·3
Now do the multiplications and divisions, left to right:
6/2·3 = 3·3 = 9
Some people may do the 3·2 first and get 6/6 = 1, but that would be incorrect. Multiplications and divisions are done in order left to right, so the 6/2=3 is done first.
