The water will vaporize, lowering the volume of solution. The NaOH will not vaporize, so the amount of NaOH remains constant. The concentration is usually measured as molarity, or moles per liter. The number (moles) of NaOH units stays the same while the volume (liters) decreases. This causes the concentration of NaOH to INCREASE.
