Hi Keren,
It's kind of hard to draw a box, but I'll try ... first thing we need to do is write each number as the ten's value and the one's value. That is,
13 = 10 + 3 and 73 = 70 + 3
Next, we put the 10 & 3 along the top of the box, and we put the 70 & 3 along the side, then multiply to get the values in each of the four boxes, as shown here:

| 70x10 = | 70x3 = |
70 | 700 | 210 |
| 3x10 = | 3x3 = |
3 | 30 | 9 |
And lastly we add up the values in the four boxes, to get:
13 x 73 = 700 + 210 + 30 + 9 = ??
