Volume of Cylinders

Question

A cube is 8 inches on each side.  What is the height of acylinder having the same volume if its radius is 4 inches?

Volume of cube = 8*8*8 = 512 now the area of the base of the cylinder is 4*4*3.141592(pi)=50.27 inches ^2, the the height of this cylinder needs to be: Vol cube/area base cyl = 512/50.27 = 10.19 inches. it will be higher than the cube!!!!!!!!!!!!
