total costs; 10a + 6(a + 130) = 1350
16a + 780 = 1350
a = (1350 - 780)/16 = 570/16 = 35.625 (are you sure that the total amount 1350 is correct?)
however if the amount were $1356
then a = (1356 - 780)/16 = 576/16 = 36 (must be a whole number)
The above procedure is correct; and if you use the correct information it should yield the correct answer.
