The machine can stuff a batch of envelopes in 5 hours. How long would it take the machines to stuff 10 batches of envelopes?  14 batches of envelopes?

What is the x axis?  What is the y axis?

 

I believe I will solve one 10*5 & 14*5 how do you figure which one goes on x or y

The question isn't phrased well.

 

Evidently you want to graph the situation where # of batches of envelopes depends on time (duration) of operating the machine.

 

x, the independent variable, should be time, and y, the dependent variable, is the 'output' (# of batches of stuffed envelopes).
