So ----

For example, fine 1/4 and 2/8.  They are the same, so 1/4 = 2/8.

Now, 1/4 is to the right of 1/8, so, 1/4 > 1/8.    Right?

O.K. find -1/8 and -1/4.  Is -1/8 to the right of, the same as, or to the left of -1/4 ?????
