10cm3 of a normal specimen of human blood contains 1.2g of hemoglobin. A new piece of equipment, requiring significant effort to calibrate, was installed in the lab. The first 5 samples of 25cm3 yielded the following results. The lab technician believes the machine is not properly calibrated. Is she right to be concerned? Show your calculations and explain your answer.

You didn't include the results of the first 5 samples.  They should be 3.0 g in 25 cm³

This value is arrived at as follows:

1.2 g/10 cm³ x 25 cm³ = 3.0 g
