What is the domain and range of each ...please explain how you got each.

I know domain is x values and range is y values but for some reason I still have a bit of trouble...so it'd be great if you could explain how you go each answer ? Thanks so much :)

1) y=1/(x+8)
2) y=(1/x)+3
3) y=(1/x)-(1/5)
4) y=1/(x-2)-ln7

y = 1/(x+8)

Can't divide by zero so Domain is All Real Numbers EXCEPT x = –8.

In Interval Notation the Domain is (–∞,–8) U (–8,∞).

As x → ±∞, y → ±0.

So y can’t equal 0 and Range is (–∞,0) U (0,∞).
