(2) Divide the given mass of 89.3 grams by the molecular weight of K2CO3. That gives the number of moles of K2CO3.
(3) Multiply the number of moles of K2CO3 by Avogadro's number, which is 6.02 x 1023. That gives the number of molecules of K2CO3.
(4) Finally, since there are 2 atoms of K in each molecule of K2CO3, multiply the number of molecules of K2CO3 by 2 to get the total number of atoms of K in 89.3 grams of K2CO3.
