Math Word Problem

 This past year the School has bought 50 boxes of paper, each box containing 10 reams. Each ream contains 500 sheets of paper. There are two shelves in the copy room, each 12 inches wind and 5 feet long. The second shelf is 2 feet above the first shelf and 3 feet below the ceiling. Assuming that the shelves are sturdy, how many sheets of paper can be stored on the shelves? What percent of the yearly purchase is this?

I think that there are a couple of errors in this problem.  First, the word wind seemingly ought to have been wide.

 

Secondly, it is not specified what the size of the paper is, and furthermore, if the paper is to remain in the boxes, one would have to know the outside dimensions of the boxes in order to know how many boxes could be shelved, side by side. In any event, the width of each sheet of paper is important.
