an online service increased the price of downloading a song from $1.79 to $1.99. to the nearest whole percent, by how much did the price rise?

i really need help please.

The price rise = 1.99 - 1.79 
= 20 cents
 
The price rise was 20 cents for a 179 cents total price
that is 20/179 to find it over 100 (i.e., percentage) it is a proportion case
20/179 = x/100
cross multiply
2000 = 179x
x =  11% (rounded to the nearest whole percent)
