You have 3.20 moles of nitrogen gas (N2) in a 15.0 liter container at 100oC. What is the pressure of this gas?

Answer 1

Assuming ideal gas behavior, use

 

PV = nRT

 

P = pressure = ?

V = volume = 15.0 L

n = number of moles = 3.20

R = universal gas constant (look up in your chemistry book)

T = absolute temperature = (100 + 273)K = 373 K

 

P = nRT/V

 

Be careful with units.  Can you finish from here?
