What is the formula to convert board feet to square feet?

I receive wood daily and its all in board feet but I need to convert it to square feet. what is the formula to do that?

square feet is the product of width (in ft) and length (in ft).  

 

You need to measure the widths and multiply each such board by its length, and add up all of these results.

 

If all of the boards have the same width, this is easy.
