If a number is evenly divisible by both 4 and 9, then there is an integer n such that 4*9*n is the number. So, consider n=1, 2, 3, ...
36 72 108 144 180 216 252 288 324 360 396 432 468 504
Now, select a 3-digit number(s) that is/are less than 500 and end(s) with a 2.
Hi Hanna,
I've never heard of a talking number.
But start at 108, which is the first 3 digit number divisible by 9.
Keep adding 9 to the previous number until you get a number where the last digit is 2.
Then see if you can divide that number by 4.
Keep going until you get to 500.
Have fun.

Since it is divisible by 4 and 9, it will be a multiple of 36

So You have _ _ 2 as the 3 digit number for now. To get the correct number we have to make it divisible by 4 and 9. The rule for (4), you have look at the last TWO digit to see if it divisible by 4. The rule for (9), you have to add all the numbers up to see if you get a number that is divisible by 9. For the answer you CAN do 612 because you can divide 12 by 4 which equals 3, and if you add 6+1+2= 9 it equals 9 in another way 9 divided by 1 equals 9 so it might work. But it is supposed to be below 500 so that does not work. Then you use another number 432, its divisible by 4 because 32 divided by 4 is 8 and 4+3+2=9 and as i said 9 divided by 1= 9 . This one will certainly work because it is divisible by 4 & 9 , the last digit is 2 and it is below 500! Answer is 43211/30/22
