Math, microeconomics or criminal justice
shirts 3 for $100, ties $20 each
he sold them all for $10,000
if he sold only 1/2 his shirts and 2/3 his ties, he'd have made $6,000
how many of each did he sell? 120 shirts, 300 ties
cost 120(100/3) + 20(300) = 4K +6K = $10,000
and (1/2)(100/3)(120) + (2/3)(20)(300) = 2K +4K= 6K = $6,000
