Bunny went to the store. He found a new tail for 15% off $32. Then the salesman convinced Bunny to buy a bowtie from adidas. The salesman explained that the bowtie is made at adidas for $11 and marked up 300% before it is bought by their store. His store then marks it up an additional 200% before it sells the bowtie to Bunny. Bunny buys the tail and the bowtie, but uses a coupon for 10% off his total order before paying 4.5% tax. The salesman makes $4 per hour plus 4% commision on his sales. How much does the tail and bowtie cost Bunny in total? - please send work in y=kx form! Thank you!

New tail will cost 0.85($32). = $27.20
salesman explained that the bowtie is made at adidas for $11 and marked up 300% before it is bought by their store.
This means store pays $44 for bowtie!
store then marks it up an additional 200% before it sells the bowtie to Bunny.
This means store charges 3 times $44, or $132 for bowtie!
TOTAL PRICE OF PURCHASES is $27.20 + $132 = $159.20
coupon for 10% off his total order brings this to 0.9)(159.20) = $143.28
With tax at 4.5%, the out-the-door-cost to Bunny becomes 1.045)($143.28) = $149.73
DO NOT JUST ACCEPT THIS...check the reasoning and the calculations at each step. If you detect an error, fix it.
Personally, I think that the bowtie is a ripoff.
