Conversion problem for chemistry.

The level of water in an Olympic size swimming pool (50.0 meters long, 25.0 meters wide, and about 2 meters deep) needs to be lowered 2.5 cm. If water is pumped out at a rate of 8.0 liters per second, how long will it take to lower the water level 2.5 cm?

it would take 65 min or 3906 seconds. You just need to multiply 50m with 25m and 0.025m (2.5cm converted to meters) and then you get the volume of water pumped out in m^3.  1m^3 is equal to 1000L so multiply the total m^3 by 1000 to get L and then divide that by 8L/s to get the total number of seconds.
