What is the coefficient of the second term of the trinomial?

(3x+3)^2=9x^2+Bx+9

The left hand and right hand sides must be equal.  Don expanded the left hand side for you, and you were given the right hand side:
 
9x2 + 18x + 9 = 9x2 + Bx + 9
 
Subtract 9x2 from both sides, and subtract 9 from both sides, and get
 
18x = Bx
B = 18x/x = 18
