I am earlier than 10 o'clock. I am later than 7 o'clock. My big hand points to 6. My hour is an even number. what time am I?

You should work this out yourself by imagining, or perhaps even drawing a clock face, and so forth.  Put the big (long) hand pointing to 6, so the time is "half past some hour."
 
The short hand has to be situated somewhere between 7 and 10, but not exactly on a number, so locate it as past 7, 8 or 9.  Which one is even?
