Avery High School honds a walk-a-thon each fall to raise money for charity. This year they want to raise at least $375. Each student earns $0.75 for every half mile walked. How many miles will the students need to walk?

The answer can be solved by setting up an inequality

 

.75M >= 375

 

divide by .75

 

M >= 500

 

Miles must be greater than or equal to 500
