6th grade math question, need to know how to explain to my son how to figure out the answer
 
question: lou fright is installing heat-retention drapes to the front windows of his house. For the width, he measures across 5 panes of glass and adds an extra 10 inches on each side. What is the width of each pane if the width of the drapes is 72 1/2 inches and the length is 74 inches?
