Hi Greg,
The wording and all the different ingredients will surely confuse those reading this.
In word problems, " Always start with what you know"
Givens: chocolate, strawberry, and raisin
1/2raisin = chocolate

1/2raisin = chocolate
or raisin = 2*chocolate
strawberry = 3*chocolate
chocolate + strawberry + raisin = 480 muffins
Lets define variables : C = chocolate muffins, S = strawberry muffins, and R = Raisin muffins
Three equations:
2C= R
3C = S
C + S + R = 480
strawberry = 3*chocolate
chocolate + strawberry + raisin = 480 muffins

Three equations:
2C= R
3C = S
C + S + R = 480
C + 2C + 3C = 480
6C = 480
C = 80 <--equivalent to chocolate
2C = 160 <--- equivalent to raisin
3C = 240 <-- equivalent to strawberry
6C = 480
C = 80 <--equivalent to chocolate
2C = 160 <--- equivalent to raisin
3C = 240 <-- equivalent to strawberry
Chocolate is 80, Raisin is 160, and Strawberry is 240 As these total 480
The answer of how many raisin were made = 160 muffins.

"she was asked to bake half as many chocolate as raisin", Not sure how you came up with 1/2 raisin = chocolate? Should that not be 1/2(chocolate) = raisin or the latter 2 raisin = chocolate?
