Can't figure out the problem

Question

There were 825 students signed up to run in timed races. If exactly 6 students ran in each race, how many races were there?

It depends, a lot, on whether everyone who signed up showed up, and how many races a person could run. Not enough information is here to pin this down.  Was this a tournament with 'heats' and how many from each heat qualified for the next round, etc.
