Advocates in the living wage movement argue that minimum wage workers had their greatest buying power around 1968-70. What would the minimum wage have to be today in order for workers to have the same advantages that they did in 1968-70? Thanks. Any suggestions? Bless everyone here.

In 1968 the minimum wage was raised from $1.40 to $1.60. In 2012 dollars that is $10.55.
