There are 20 percent fewer dogs than cats and all together there are 171 dogs and cats. How many dogs do I have and how many cats do I have?

I need an equation

One simple tweak to the original system of equations.
 
d = c * 0.8
c + d = 171
 
c + (.8c) = 171
1.8c = 171
c = 95
 
d = 95 * .8 = 76
