Is that the whole problem? Because there are a lot of possible right answers. If you only have nickles, for example, it would be 0 quarters and 137 nickles. Or are you supposed to write an equation to show the answer? In that case it would be .25q + .05n = 6.85. Because you multiply the amount a quarter is worth (.25) times the number of quarters and add that to the amount a nickle is worth (.05) times the number of nickles to get the total.
